Burton Film Similarities
//Edward Scissor Hands & Charlie and the Chocolate factory:
In these two films I notice it's almost like stepping into a new whole world. We see Charlie going into the factory and it's bright, fun and unique and this is quite similar to Edward scissor hands as when he is relocated in the new town it's bright, colourful and almost perfect.
//Death is also a dominant theme in Burton's movies, he also refers to the afterlife and even uses animals as a way to show it. He also uses love as a way to show it. We see in the Corpse Bride and in Dark Shadows that both movies mix love with death.
//One last similarity is the use of humour this is used throughout Burton films this may be because the movies are quite depressing to add a slight happiness and make it enjoyable for the whole family.
